Motor mechanics maintain and repair motor vehicles, buses, trucks and other vehicles. They take the vehicle to a test drive and use electronic equipment to identify, confirm and locate the problem.
Motor mechanics may remove broken or damaged parts of vehicles, order new parts or, alternatively, repair or replace broken or damaged parts. Brakes shall be adjusted where necessary; shock absorbers shall be replaced; tightening bolts; aligning wheels; solder leaks in the radiator; replacing oil, oil filters and air filters; and adjusting lights, heaters, mirrors and windscreen wipers.
